I'm jealous of all the high praise for this soap... mine just smells like hops, barely any rose at all Sad
That’s disappointing! I hate Rose but this one was the one that made me open my mind and experience something different than my love for “dark mysterious sexy FOUGÈRE’s”

Fougère Friday

MdC baby!

Off thread rant:
My Merkur 38C is 13 years old now, and I am meticulous with her clean up post shave. Micro-fiber cloth wipe down, cotton towel dry, q-tipped crevasses, and polishing cloth finish. Every time. And she looks pretty new. Why do I do this!? . But I will say, the razor cost me 30 bux back then, and now she goes for 70 plus - mild daily driver that gets me BBS in 3 passes with Permasharp or Feather Blades. A no brainer great reach. Sure wish the manufacturer would make a stainless 3 piece version of that head geometry. Mythically great.

Razor: Atelier Durdan Vestige (++ Plate)
Blade: Gem SS
Brush: Trotter "Kickflip"/Synthetic
Soap: Boellis Panama 1924
AS 1: Witch Hazel
AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
Fragrance:
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,761

Does GTB match the Panama 1924 ? NO.........................and I don't care  I am filling in for a friend and I'm a paid Chauffeur today and want to share the Ghost Town Barber goodness with an elderly Gentlemen of means as he goes to his Doctors appointment. He can thank me later  Big Grin Yes TommyCarioca It was a great shave with the soap and I'm glad I got it based on your nudging  Winking On to the razor. Decided to go with the ++ plate today. While you can feel the extra .5 in blade exposure, it by no means is uncomfortable. Still a smooth and drama free shave but more exfoliating of skin cells. Man I feel clean and smooth. Now I'm unsure which I would prefer between the + and ++ Plates. Being a daily shaver I may lean towards the + but they are both so comfortable.......Well since I'm daydreaming I'll just get both.  May do a video comparison between this and the WR3 I have on loan tomorrow. Everyone have a great day and drive safe !!
