For those of you who haven't tried WestMan soap, it is a soft and almost croap-like base. After loading with a damp synthetic for about 20 seconds, I had more than enough product. For a face-lathers, the soap/lather goes on very pasty at first but once water is added, it turns into a wonderful concoction that can take on a lot of water. This one was dripping down the handle after I took the pic. Scent-wise, Alma is a rose-forward scent and has a great rose scent that is slightly muted due to the musk.
Overall, I was really happy with this one. Then I went downstairs to kiss my wife goodbye. As soon as I got close enough, I could see it in her eyes and knew what was coming. A quick peck and she immediately pulled away. "you know how much i HATE synthetic roses!" "But, honey, I bought the product and need to use it up." "Show me which one it is and i'll take care of it for you!" Now as I sit here in my office, I have to wonder whether the den will still be intact when I get home or the shelves will have been raided for any and all Rose scents. Sorry TommyCarioca but this may be my last Thu"Rose"day shave
If it makes you feel any better, my wife also hates the B&M Figarose that I used today. She says it smells like bug spray. The Chatillon Lux YRP you used...yep, she hates that one too. Most of the time there's seldom a comment on scents that I use. She's vocal about those two.
That YRP is an alltime great soap - she's a tough critic! Haha
