Le Domino (Martin de Candre) herb garden
Shave 6 ・ 61 g left

I like the diminutive size of this little glass ‘domino.’ It fits nicely on my pedestal sink. I don’t have any counters, so big tubs of soap don’t always work well, but this wee glass cube snugs in easy next to the faucet. Loading with the tiny Trafalgar T2 isn’t much of a chore. Martin de Candre is so dense, it takes only a few swirls to fill the knot with enough soap for three passes.

Thanks, everyone, for your takes on the scent of Martin de Candre Fougère. It smells fantastic, but after three days, my old nose started to lose the aroma. I think I just got too used to it. It’s probably best to rotate through a few soaps just to keep the pleasure quotient for each shave high.

Grooming Dept - Laundry (Kairos 2023) - yesterday

I actually have no clue why I have this... I use unscented laundry detergent bc I don't like the scented ones. But the scent is nice for a quick shave and it has some woodier base notes to balance it out so it doesn't burn my nostrils like Tide, et al.

MacDuff's - Christmas Tree / Explorer Series

This was my second shave with this and I'm kinda feeling the same as with my first:

"Well, this sure smells great. Considering the beautiful quality of the lather, it wasn't as comfortable of a shave as I was expecting. Not uncomfortable, just not senseless [...]"

No nicks or irritation, just missing something in the shave for me.
Does this formula prefer less water? (I've been using a lot recently.)
