This was my second shave with this and I'm kinda feeling the same as with my first:

"Well, this sure smells great. Considering the beautiful quality of the lather, it wasn't as comfortable of a shave as I was expecting. Not uncomfortable, just not senseless [...]"

No nicks or irritation, just missing something in the shave for me.
Does this formula prefer less water? (I've been using a lot recently.)

Beautiful photos as always and agreed that the grizzly sequence was astounding.

Great tallow soap/base. My favorite Aventus clone. I haven't tried SH yet. Fine AFS works well. I am going to miss Floid Black, another Aventus cousin.

BTW, my Creed Aventus gave up the ghost this morning. Going to be expensive to replace and Creed sold out and reformulated. The vintage search is on I guess. Anyone want to ditch there juice?

C U all tomorrow

Agrumes (Martin de Candre) mixed citrus
Shave 6 ・ 192 g left

I figure I’ve hoarded enough Martin de Candre soap to get me through the rest of the decade. And considering how splendid this last week’s shaves were with this fine soap, I’m wondering why I would ever want to change. Clean cuts, no irritation, simple yet elegant scents that don’t grow old … that’s just about everything I look for in a shave.

Today’s Agrumes has been locked away for quite some time, but when I uncorked it this morning, that fresh citrusy aroma was still perky and pleasant. It smells like I’ve just pulled the tab on a cold can of 7Up.

Trumpers Violet puck, potassium palmate first.  Love the scent and performance.  Why they changed to unlatherable is inexcusable.
