Today marks the nine-year milestone of my wet shaving journey. I can’t help but reflect on the fragrant trail that has led me here. Starting out I couldn’t tell cedar from vetiver or amber from bergamot, but with each lather, my senses sharpened, and my olfactory palette expanded. Though I’m still no nose, I’ve got pretty good at sniffing out scents. But, after almost a decade of exploration, my interest in fragrance has grown beyond mere curiosity. It’s become an obsession. Since the start of my shave odyssey, I find I have ordered nearly 500 tubs of shaving soap from 87 different companies. All told, that’s a staggering 43 kilos of soap (half of which has either been used, discarded, or given away).

While the acquisition of these fragrant gems has been a source of great entertainment, I’ve been feeling a strong urge lately to shift my focus from collecting to consuming. So, with 21,130 grams of soap still remaining in my hoard, I’m embarking on a new journey. My haven will be a number, and that number will be 20,000 grams. That’s right, by year’s end I hope to have a mere 20 kilos of soap on hand. Hold tight, we’ve got some heavy loading ahead of us.

Good luck Bouki, this will be interesting!
1,130 grams of soap in 250 days (remaining in 2023) is just a hair over 4.5 grams per day.
You're gonna have some forearms!

Haha. Was thinking same; that some heavy loading (or multiple shaves per day). In either case, likely to end with Popeye arms.

Bouki, I have a solution for you. Shave it all - legs, arms, head, back of your neck, chest, & bum. That should do it.

1st time using this maker and it's a good soap but not top tier for me. The scent notes reads like a veteran criminals rap sheet.........long. Nothing stands out to me and it comes across as a nice sweet floral which is slightly spicy but reminds me of others I've used and can't remember the names of. Probably could have got the scent with less than half the notes but what do I know. Covered it up with Ghost Town Barber. Maybe I'm just grumpy today Cool Extra pics placed for Rob ExtraProtein since I heard he likes pics Big Grin Have a great day Folks !!
