Shave 2  ≈  116 g left

Today is the fifteenth of the month, the Ides of March. On this day in 44 B.C. the Roman dictator Caesar was assassinated by members of the senate. What better way to commemorate the deed than with Wholly Kaw’s Denarius, whose label depicts the bloody event. As befits the mood of the murder, this is a dark and brooding scent, leather and moss with very little to brighten its demeanor.

And Dave in KY, once again, many thanks!

Face Shave
Razor: WR2 1.55

Another tub kill. That makes six in 2023. One pass with a clean-up and I’m BBS. I love the pour on this Trotter brush.

Head Shave
Razor: Masamune
Blade: Astra SP (2)
Brush: DG Cotton Candy B15
Soap: Talbot Shaving Authors Ridge

Such a great head shave this afternoon! I love B15 and this pour is dope as hell. The scent is strong spicy & woodsy that fills the air around you.

Good to see you posting again!  And I fully understand where you're coming from in regards to the schedule.  A busy/hectic/stressful schedule makes me appreciate that 10 to 20 minute whisker-wacking routine even more.  And, thankfully, with seven lifetimes worth of soap, we get can choose to experience a new scent every day of the year or spend a few days deeply inhaling the stinkers

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,592

I bought this razor handle after the debacle at the machine shop that failed to cut the Straight Bar edge properly. The seller kindly included the head that they were refunded for. I use an O-Ring to adjust to get the exposure that was nonexistent and have to say that I get phenomenal shaves with it. I don't know how many shaves on this Wizamet without a lot of digging back in my Journal but just wow great shaves. Such a shame the machine shop dropped the ball somehow.

The Arrefa Shave Cream is a nice product for the price and sports of all things "Badger Tallow" Not sure what that brings to the table over other tallows but it works just fine. I know the Bear Tallow in some of their soaps I enjoy brings some extras to the mix when used but forget what all. It can be found on their website though. This is an okay scent but not one of my favorite Bourbon scented soaps and I do prefer soaps to creams. Honestly if it wasn't for the oddity of the Badger Tallow and use of beer when making, I probably would have moved this on already. All in all a great shave though and ready for a long work day. Have a great day Everyone !!
