Garibaldi (Abbate y La Mantia) tame tobacco
Shave 4 ・ ≈ 82 shaves left

After four shaves, I can finally smell the Kentucky tobacco. It was hiding just beneath the surface of the old soap. I think the tin had been sitting on the vendor’s shelf for a while, so it lost some of its scent. The puck is deeply cracked. It must have been stored in a dry place. But now that I’ve added water to it, the texture and fragrance have improved. The tobacco is sweet and spicy, and it smells even stronger once the soap is lathered. The label also mentions a note called Sicilian Sea. It smells sort of fresh, like fabric softener. I can take it or leave it. To me, the sea never smells this clean. But at the end of three days, I can say I like Garibaldi and would be happy to use it for an extended spell as long as I have enough Ethos First Lather to boost the emulsion and help it finish smooth.

The State of Kentucky would like to thank Sir Bouki for his perseverance and once again bringing the Kentucky note to the fore. Well Done !

Good morning Dave

I’m so glad everything went well with you my friend. Those first few days after the surgery must have been Hell. Not being able to breath out of your nose. I had some nose surgery about 2 years ago but not as extensive as yours and I experienced that as for a short time and never having to deal with that before in my life it was really uncomfortable. I’m just glad you were part of the 85% successful group.

All the best my friend!
