Such a great shave today with this and a Blackland Era 5SB. Two passes and a touchup.
Nice scent, it captures the wood and needles of the fir.

Shave 1 ・ 150 g left

Giuseppe Maria Garibaldi, the renowned Italian general who united his country during the nineteenth century, had his fame ensured long after his death through the introduction of a cigar that bears his name. This long, narrow cheroot closely resembles a Slim Jim in shape, though not in scent, and is noted for its mellow aroma. Today’s soap, probably named after the cigar rather than the general, shares a similar fragrance. Along with a slight puff of tobacco, I detect a delicate composition of spice, leather, and flowers. It’s all quiet, elegant, and mild, but I confess I had hoped for more.

Abbate Y La Mantia makes a really interesting soap in my opinion, with everything built around Crocus Sativus (Saffron) Stigma Extract.  I believe that the intent is to nourish the skin.  I happen to have Monet and like it.  How much is yet to be determined.  When I first received it I used it for 3 days in a row to observe whether my skin would feel different.  I did notice an improvement.  For some reason, however, I was disinclined to continue with the consecutive use experiment.  I liked it but how much did I like it?  As I said, how much of an affinity I have for this product is yet to be determined.  I have used it once since that time and did enjoy it.  I think it will do fine for me as a once in a while type soap.

One final comment: who could better sport this type of head adornment but a Frenchman like Monet? The Basques with their berets may come close but Monet definitely rocks his headgear and scraggly beard.
