What soap/cream did you use today?

Each morning when I put this puck on the scales and carefully measure its mass, I notice two things: first, it’s two grams lighter than the day before, and that gives me a good inkling that I’ll be done with Le Vétiver by the end of this week – bear with me; and second, while the soap has pulled away from the sides of the tub, it hasn’t grown much thinner. Instead of boring a hole through the center, I seem to be dissolving the entire puck all at once. The surface of the soap remains perfectly flat. There’s not a divot, or donut, or even rims. Strangest soap I’ve ever used.

Though rose and vetiver have the unusual ability to pair with just about any other scent, when it’s just the two of them, something’s lacking. Tauer’s Vetiver Dance brings these two remarkable materials together, but it doesn’t make them twirl like Fred and Ginger. Instead of gliding across the floor, they teeter like a pair of kids at their first middle school dance.
