Thanksgiving dawned and with it….Ethos King of the North….

Warm Woods (Meißner Tremonia) sweet wood
Shave 9 ・ 173 g left

Five woods (Texas cedar, palo santo, amyris, Atlas cedar, and Swiss pine) and styrax benzoin go into this fragrance. It may be a little heavy on the benzoin. Seems almost too sweet to me. In fact, like several Meißner Tremonia soaps, Warm Woods smells sort of jammy.

Hwyl (Aēsop) spiced wood

Hwyl is the Welsh word for ‘enthusiasm’. Whoever designed this fragrance must have a keen passion for working with wood. I take a sniff and I’m right back in eighth-grade wood shop, standing at the lathe, knee deep in chips and sawdust. Together with smells of cedar, oak, and pine there's a sprinkling of spice and big pinch of thyme. Hwyl dries down to a long-lasting vetiver and incense base. Nice.
