What soap/cream did you use today?

Barrister & Mann - Fougere Gothique (Reserve)

Last shave was with this scent in the Omnibus base, today was with the Reserve. Hard to complain either way. About anything. But my instincts say my skin/procedure prefers the Reserve (sorry again, Tommy not a diss to Omnibus).

For me, this is the ultimate Fall/Halloween scent. It gives me the impression of a frigid and earthy wind in the face on a pitch black night. Lost, with rotting leaves all around, boots covered in mud, the stink and the sweet. But still, elements of cold, crisp air/wind. I think I like the experience more than the scent itself. But that's okay. Experience is good. I have the EDP, so that says something.

MacDuff's Birch & Root

Bluegrass Dave found me a MacDuff's puck that I really enjoyed. Base can't be faulted. Scent has the right amount of oomph, sweet & bitter twang that really could make for a daily reach. Sign me up for this one.

Sometimes ina man’s life, the proper answer will be Vetiver.  Today was a Vetiver morning and mikes is a good one.  I sort of get a Cracker Jack peanuts scent in the background.
