I picked up this soap years ago because I liked the label art and I enjoyed the P&B performance.  (Spitfire will always be a favorite).  When I got it though I really was disappointed with the scent.  It seemed to lack character to me.  It was billed as a floral which I generally don’t favor but to my nose it was never much of a floral affair at all but was much dirtier than florals generally run.  It shaved good.  It smelled ok.  Generally it was an ok soap.  Well I don’t know what happened during covid but I pop the top now and find a soap scent so deep and twisting that it doesn’t seem like the same stuff.  I get a much darker vibe now.  Perhaps the light florals have faded?  At any rate, I would replace this soap when it’s gone but not with a brand new one but one that someone lost in 5he soap closet in 2018.  Great shave and an awesome scent (now).

Wow...this one is really pushing Stella Alpina for the top SV scent!  My nose is picking up a strong tobacco vibe.  If Ethos Mandarino Fumo is the scent of tobacco leaves drying, SV Morado is the scent of the cologne shop attached to the barn

Clay Face

Salty Sea Sage (Meißner Tremonia) sage & salt
Shave 4 ・ 191 g left

Starts off smelling strongly of sage (the kind you cook with) and ends up smelling – and feeling – very salty. There’s also some cinnamon and amyris listed among the ingredients, but to be honest, I can’t smell them. And like I said, it’s very salty. So salty in fact, it dries my nose when I sniff the jar. So I moved it to the kitchen where it seems more at home.
