I used to really like old school Caties Bubbles. I still really do like the scents! This Le Marche du Rasage is a very good scent indeed but performance is lacking when compared to more modern, and ancient soaps. Lather is quick but slickness is lacking and when I try adding more water the lather breaks. Well, today I tried something new. I bloomed the soap. I never bloom soap, especially soft soaps and this one is soft like modeling clay. Wow, what a difference! This soap was destined for a PIF table or a dumpster but with some bloom time it’s performance jumped. It’s still not the slickest. In fact it’s still pretty mediocre as far as soaps go but now I have enough slickness that I don’t feel so exposed. I’ll keep it around for a little bit and see what I can learn. In the mean time I’ll enjoy the scent of this high structure soap.

Ethos Lavender v1. The very first release of Dragonsbeard 2+ years ago. Still performs like a champ!
And wow…that scent....just lavender EO…nothing else…
Like being in Provence in mid July..
