None of that cloying sharpness of synthetic vanillas. Delicious. And, suffice it to say, a fine fine base. A fine fine shave.
Truly believe this to be king of soaps at moment. Nothing compares. It outrageous cost but great value as one usage reveals where every cent went. Love my samples, including your provision.

Very interesting! How was the scent and performance?
I really like these soaps. Basic formula, but very capable and absolutely no issues during or after.
Not a straight rose... Has a similarity or two to C&S No. 88... but not the same.
As you can see, the scent is made for the New York Botanical Garden. I also have this scent in the shave cream (not a lathering type, but I have used a brush once) and aftershave. All quality stuff.
I'm impressed with the Caswell-Massey shave line right now. I have a lot of it in the various scents. No regrets.
20% off.
Mandarino Fumo (Ethos) cocoa honey tobacco

Look at the label. That toasted paprika background tells you Mandarino Fumo is going to be a very dark fragrance. It reminds me of dried chilis roasting on the comal until they’re almost black. I can see why Frank considers this an autumn scent. But doggone, I can’t wait for the chilly air and the golden leaves. I want some Fumo now. So for today’s shave I had to do something to lift the scent and make it suitable for a bright summer day. Solution? I added a wee dab of Ethos Blood Orange shaving cream to Mandarino Fumo. Wow! It really brought out the citrus notes and brightened up the scent overall. I loved the result so much, I took three full laps around my chops, something I hardly ever get away with anymore. My cheeks will probably be chiding me later on, but man, it was worth it.
