What soap/cream did you use today?

I was in a big hurry this morning and decided to try something new/different to see if I could get a decent shave with little time investment.  I loaded off a dry puck with a damp brush for 10 to 15 seconds.  Then face-painted for maybe 1 minute.  Dipped a quarter of the knot in sink water and then face-painted for another minute.  No swirling of the brush for this shave, only face-painting.  Used a 2nd-use Kai blade and my 6S with plate 4 for a quick 2-pass shave (WTG & ATG) and no clean-up pass.  Ended up with a decent shave...definitely have a couple "rough" spots but no one around me would be able to tell.  More importantly, I was showered/shaved and heading out the door in less than 20 minutes.  Certainly nice to know this will work if I need it to but I really enjoy my shave time so I don't want this to be my typical routine.

Well, This soap has officially been 'banned'. The wife does not like the scent at all. Lol. I was sent to the showers in quick order.

Oh well, time to try to find a new rose scent. Something light for sure, and if it's a mixture, definitely on the sweet side.

That is heartbreaking.  I love this scent. In fact my tub is low enough I need to get on the ball and get another coming.

It breaks my heart to say this... Lisa isn't making this soap any more. She can't get the oil(s) needed. So, slow down and enjoy what you have left.

The picture I posted for 'Thu Rose Day' was a stock image... Mine actually looks like this. An ugly 'mutt'... Mixing samples I could scrounge together near the end of Lisa's stock. Some original, some of the newer formula (dubbed remix, lol).

It's a good scent, but alas, it has been banished. May it rest in peace.

I was about to post the same sad news for those of us who love Somali Rose.  I went to look for it a few weeks ago, and sent Lisa an email when it wasn't on offer.  Fortunately, I am well enough fixed for now, and there are plenty of other fish in the Shave Soap Sea.

Temperature to top 70 today….so cooling Ethos Peppermint was front and center. Love the cooling sensation with no menthol.

The scent is subtle on this one.  It doesn't reach out and grab me like the scent of the other current limited edition release, Passiflora.  Today, however, the subtle simplicity of this one note wonder was really attractive to my nose.  I find it hard to put into words so the best I can do is to quote the description given above.  Both Passiflora and Paganini's Violin are available through the end of March.  If anyone is considering a purchase, I would opt first for Passiflora then PV.  Personally, I am very glad I have both.  The omnibus base is superb.

They did a great job matching the scent. Unfortunately this scent doesn't really work for my skin.
