Ingredients Aqua (Water), Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Acid, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Peg-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate, Sodium Hydroxide, Allantoin, Dimethicone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Citronellol, Coumarin, Citral, Evernia Prunastri (Oakmoss) Extract.

The engineers among us would say No. 89 makes a ‘low-structure lather’. Rich and glossy, it doesn’t bubble up and sit proud on your cheeks, even after it’s been well watered. It’s fairly slick, too. All around, very respectable performance, especially considering there’s no tallow in the recipe. And like D. R. Harris, Floris too gives you quite a bit more than advertised. The label promises 100 g, but even after five shaves, I've still over 120 g of soap in my bowl.

Bouki, those are the ingredients for the cream.
I thought they fixed that mistake on the website.

Good gracious! I was wondering what Myristic Acid was doing in this soap. Thanks for pointing that out. Let's see if I can't set the record straight. Here are the ingredients for the hard soap I used today:

Ingredients: Potassium Palmate, Potassium Palm Kernelate, Potassium Stearate, Sodium Palmate, Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Palm Kernel Acid, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Geraniol, Coumarin, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)

Good subtle scent. Sir Henry's was born of the idea of British shave soaps. Long live the queen![Image: 791cb07013042776191d6e470a2f9040.jpg]

Esbjerg, Verbena

Driven by enthusiastic online reviews and a strong appetite for lemon scents, I ended up purchasing a tub of Esjberg Verbena. I learned that I tend to enjoy more the straight-forward crisp freshly cut side of the lemon scent spectrum, as compared to other variations that tame the lemon down to more subtle non-invasive pale versions. I like my lemon to slap me good. Verbena treats me too nice, reminding me of Alexander Simpson Lime. No scent chemistry. All that aside, good cream.
