I almost bought this today! Tell me I need this scent.
This fragrance is very similar to the first version. But, there are differences. And they are for the better. My wife is very strict about fragrances (she is allergic to sweet smells). The first version - she doesn't like it. She gave her approval for this soap.I also like this soap more than the first version. Both in smell and action.

Ethos - Lost Souls (F base)

Very nice shave and silky post. I can't pin down where it's coming from, but I get a creamy note in the scent to go along with the green, cool notes. Definitely unique.

You had me thinking on the Creamy note and only two things I think it could possibly be. First is sometimes when Im adding the Sheep’s milk if the temps to high I can smell a creamy milky note but usually that disappears with the addition of the Essential oil blend but maybe you have a better nose than me and you can pick it up still.  2nd and only other thing I can think of is the Cederwood Absolute is completely different than any regular Cederwood Essential oil I’ve smelled and it does have a very smooth rich note that maybe when mixed with the other aroma ingredients along with the sheep milk is creating the creamy note your smelling. I’m going to have to pull mine out when I get to work tomorrow and give it a good whiff and see if I pick it up as it certainly wasn’t intentional.

Thanks for the feedback.

It’s all about the juniper!  As disappointed as I was with Mystic Waters Poggio dei Pini, Stirling Gin and Tonic saved the day.  As of late, I’m pretty fussy about scent.  For example, Gentleman’s Nod Zaharoff is an excellent scent and I would not hesitate to wear Zaharoff as a perfume, but I don’t care for it in a soap.  I want something more esoteric.  Something I wouldn’t wear as a perfume but still find extremely interesting.  Leviathan would be such a scent (yes, I’ve grown to love it) but not in EdP.  In fact a lot of beloved B&M soaps would not make the EdP cut. Most of my most favorite scents would fall into this category.  Texas on Fire, Salters French Vetiver, AOS rose, Tim’s Breakfast of Champions, a lot hit the spot in soap but would make a terrible perfume.  Some I like both soap and perfume.  Sir Henrys Sandalwood, Black Velvet, and Quartet, would all fit that bill.  And some favorite colognes I never want to see in a soap!  Polo Green is my favorite but I sure don’t want it in a soap.  Stirling Gin and Tonic?  Love the scent.  Have the aftershave.  Most likely don’t want to smell that way for others.  Man, each time I use a Stirling soap I wonder why he sells so cheap.

Sadly I haven't picked up a creamy note as I think that would be a really nice addition to the overall scent. That being said it's still very nicely blended I quite enjoy it.
