Dang, what a great shave! I am ashamed I don't use the soap more. We are wet shaving with some great product availability!

Scent in this baby is a nice 'round' evergreen/spruce. I think Nero and Lip would love it - feels like standing near an alpine forest after a hard rain cleans the air. Not over 'pined' or overly resinous. Really smooth - boys, you all gotta try this one.

I've never used any of Paolo's goods. Sounds like that's gonna change soon.

Floris Verbena shaving soap (tallow). The vintage Floris soaps not only make great lather, but they maintain their scents longer than other old, classic soaps.

You must have lucked out... I've had 3 old Floris soaps and they all smelled like a sewer, not even kidding.

Ethos Lavender
Consistently my top-performing soap. It works with badger, boar, & synthetic equally well!

Natural Bay Rum (Meißner Tremonia) pure bay rum

This is still my favorite bay rum. It’s nothing more than a wee dab of citrus, a light sprinkle of clove, a few shots of rum, and generous portion of bay. I lather it up, take a whiff, and nothing seems out of place. Just pure bay rum in perfect harmony. Alas, Meißner Tremonia no longer makes it.

I paired it with Captain’s Choice Cat o’ Nine Tails aftershave. Nice burn, but not nearly as hot as St Johns Bay Rum.
