Hi guys,

New to the Damn Fine Shave.  I was referred by Dragonsbeard as I ordered some ethos grooming products from him.  This is my first post.  Today I used Executive shaving company’s bay rum shave cream, one of my absolute favorites.

This is an authentic rich lime without the hard candy trappings. It’s clean and refreshing, not sweet and gooey. Styrax softens the tang slightly and gives it a sort of sun creamy feel. There’s also some black pepper, sandal, lavender, sage, and vetiver. But really this is all about the lime, and it’s very good.

How do you like this base?

I don't even know what base this soap has. I have had this soap for over four years. All the information I have is the composition of the soap on the lid. As I understand it, it is vegan. Good enough soap. I cannot say that it is one of my favorites. It stings my face a little. But, the characteristics of the soap are quite good.
