Performance is excellent.  Scent strength is about 7/10.  Why we don’t see it more than we do? Likely those small tins the soap comes in.  As you can see, I generally move WSP products into a wider container.

HoosierShave, did you really make that lather, or did you just open a tub of Cool Whip?

Nope.  I have only soft cloth/water/detergent since this one came aboard.  I’m guessing your thinking of my Karve that is darkening to a very pleasant patina to my eyes.  His Brassbird sure is a close shaver though.

I've been working through the end of a tub of Grooming Dept's Vetiver Nobile, which has been sitting around for a while. It's an older formula and I noticed I was getting disappearing lather so I've been trying to load heavily to compensate. It's still a strong performer though, and gives a very nice postshave feel.

West Indian Limes Shaving Cream (Truefitt & Hill) musky lime

Creams nearly always smell great. Their base is almost scentless, so when you build your lather you get a nose full of pure aroma without any skanky undertones. But on the down side, a cream's performance can be a bit thin. One pass with a mild razor, maybe a spot of clean up, is about all I dare. I must admit that when I use a cream carefully the results are generally good. Still I wish I got a little better cushion. I’m good for a day or two with these handy tubes before I have to go back to a full-bodied tallow-based soap to get the protection my flimsy skin needs.

Friday's shave

ELEVEN
Dang, what a great shave! I am ashamed I don't use the soap more. We are wet shaving with some great product availability!

Scent in this baby is a nice 'round' evergreen/spruce. I think Nero and Lip would love it - feels like standing near an alpine forest after a hard rain cleans the air. Not over 'pined' or overly resinous. Really smooth - boys, you all gotta try this one.

SOTD - January 6th 2022
Razor - Charcoal Goods Level 3 OC antique brass version 1 with Magnum handle
Blade - Polsilver Blue
Brush - Paladin 26”
Bowl - Captains Choice Copper
Soap - Lisa’s Natural Tobacco & Bay
Aftershave - PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum with some added Pineapple accord  and some Hyaluronic acid serum.

Trying to bring a little summer on a cold winters day.. Only lasted till I walked out the door! Lol
Lisa’s Naturals to me doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Her Premium base with Sheep milk checked a lot of boxes for me in todays shave. Plus she’s a class act of a person who I like to support.

My Frankenaftershave splash worked great and smelled awesome.

Great shaves all
