Woods and florals team up to make a fragrance that’s as fresh as a backyard picnic in June. Havn smells like cedar chips and lavender when the sprinklers hit them. There’s quite a bit of camomile, too, which gives it a lemony twist. Now in Norway, where this soap is made, havn means ‘harbor’, but what this fragrance has to do with a marina escapes me. Still, it’s a good smelling soap, and though the vegan lather is on the light side, it gives a very good shave. And of course Fitjar Islands have been very generous with their portions. The label promises 100 grams, but they gave me about 20% more.

I can see why! I only wish he had his own thread so I can more easily read them. I really appreciate when someone invests their time posting valuable information, like Bouki does!

It’s the season after all.  Will describes this scent as the scent of a cookie his family used to make during the holiday when they were bakers.  I don’t know if I get “cookie” but it is sweet and I do get a cherry, lemon, and nutmeg notes but the cardamom brings an herb vibe that removes it from the gourmand category for me This one is in the Glissant base and for the love of Pete I do enjoy how smooth and uniform the soap is.  This is year two n this holiday soap and there will be two years left after the season passes.  One of the few soaps I view as seasonal and it’s really nice to have a Christmas scent that isn’t pine or candy cane. (I like those too however).

It is in excellent condition. Works great. The smell has become less.
