HighSpeed  Since I don't have any OSP AS my question for you is how strong is it (scentwise) and scent duration?   

I would say medium for both.  BTW Pasteur's has it in stock as I write this (as you may already know).

Have been contemplating this soap but concerned with mint. Is the mint content really a wallop? Fear the mint will quite troublesome for my damaged and sensative skin. Otherwise, Lost Souls is quite appealing in scent profile.

Thank you for the reply, was my thought as well using same methodology. Unfortunately, yet concerned based on your description of cooling effect. Need secure a sample for a few shaves to determine if it usable with my skin. Otherwise, how would you rate it vis-à-vis other fougères (or whatevers scent family it properly belongs)?

Doggone, Dan. I shouldn't write these replies in the middle of the night, especially after a second helping of pumpkin pie has got me all groggy! Now in the clear light of morning, I see there is in fact some peppermint in Lost Souls. Relieved to see I wasn't imagining it.

A traditional fougère is made up of citrus, lavender, and coumarin, all served up with herbs, light florals, and woods. Frank has taken this basic structure and made some substitutions. In relation to other fougères, this soap's fragrance is very woody. For instance, I don't get coumarin as much as I get old wet pine needles, you know, the smell of pine straw on the forest floor after it's rained. As for citrus, there's a dash of bergamot, but the fragrance picks up most of its brightness from the top notes of the cedar and fir. Ylang ylang gives a slight floral roundness to the scent. It's not very pronounced. But there's plenty of herby bits such lavender, rosemary, sage, and mint. 

The mint's chill is mild but noticeable, even in the first pass, but it's nowhere near as cool as one of Stirling's soaps or even as cool as Proraso Green. It's more like the chill of Santa Maria Novella's Crema da Barba, cool and clean without ever becoming distracting. It lasts about five to ten minutes. 

Overall, the scent reminds me of sitting beside a cool Rocky Mountain stream on a warm summer afternoon. 

We buried a good friend today.  Delbert (Bert) Lloyd grew up over the mountain from me in Oakley, Idaho.  (All the smart kids were on the east side of Independence Mountain in Elba.)  When Bert started his family he and his wife lived just down the road from me.  He loved growing things and turned a horticulture degree into a career as the City of Idaho Falls horticulturist and forester.  Bert caught Covid, went to the hospital, struggled on a ventilator and died.  So long my little cowboy buddy.  In 54 years you made tracks for sure.  I’ll look down the mountain at the Basin Cemetery and remember fondly many hunting and fishing trips, horseback rides and camping trips, and when I work with the flowers and trees in my yard I’ll think of you fondly.  
Today I chose Chiseled Face Summer Storm because it smelled of outdoors and slapped on some Chaps cologne before donning my suit to bid you adeau.  So long pard.  54 years was not enough.
