Tried the B&M Omnibus Melange.
She spicy but zero irritation on my extremely sensative and damaged skin. Omnibus is easily the second best base on the market after ETHOS and significantly less expensive. It nice and soft so easily scooped and bowl lathered. No soap takes water as well - it virtually impossible to over hydrate. For winter shaving, Melange a winner. Paired it with Alt-Innsbruck to great effect

For a while there Barrister & Mann was using Colt-Ainer jars for their soaps. I loved their bright white color, nice heft, and smooth threading. So I was surprised when recent shipments from Cooperstown came packaged in Parkway Plastics tubs. Frankly, I like both jars, but the Colt-Ainers always seemed a little classier. Well, that was my opinion until today, when I dropped my box of Barrister & Mann soap and spilled a dozen tubs onto the hardwood floor. The Parkway tubs rebounded without a scratch, but alas, my old faithful Bay Rum, housed in Colt-Ainer’s hard white plastic, cracked in two.
