Nice!  Where did you find this scent?  I just saw that the Razor Place has 2 new Shannon's scents, both of which are an homage to colognes.  But they don't have At the Barber.

I try not to gush frequently - places the pall of fan boy on some. The great thing about this thread is what we learn from each other; and therefore, honesty is critical. Boys, this is a great product. I had one of those Wow shaves Lip describes occasionally. Had to check to see if I had a blade in my razor. Finish was plump, slick has okra guts, and the proto lather was quick to build. One important feature - this  is a very very thirsty face batter. May be the most water hungry puck I have used. But once dialed in.... Wowser. Going to use another version of same tomorrow.

Shave 1 ・ 99% left

After enjoying Barrister & Mann’s complex fragrances for a week or two, coming back to Meißner Tremonia’s organic scents is a bit of a shocker. For the most part, they’re quite straightforward and tell only a simple story. For instance, today’s Dark Limes is scented with lime leaf, litsea cubeba, lime peel, and even lime juice, so it all smells … very limey. When I twist off the lid, I smell a crate of limes that have been left in the sun for an hour or two. Doesn’t exactly evoke the wistful imagery that a pot of Barrister & Mann’s soap does, but it’s fresh and clean and always gives me a great shave. I must really like the stuff, because I just bought a new jar along with a refill. Fact is, there's enough room in these excellent violet glass jars for two full pucks. Might as well fill up the tank.

Bouki, where are you buying  your MT pucks?
Thx

I was wondering the same thing.

Bouki I'm curious as well because in the US, it seems most vendors have not been re-ordering MT soaps/creams once they are Out of Stock.  Maggard emptied their shelves of MT 2 or 3 years ago with a significant price discount.  I only picked up one MT paste (cream) at that time but wish i had picked up some of the soaps.

The last few I purchased were through Pasteur's (currently out of stock) and Smallflower.  The latter has several for sale but the soaps only come in refill form.  They have the pastes in the glass jars but, personally, i prefer the soap over the paste.  As DanLaw pointed out earlier, the MT jars are top-notch and if i'm purchasing a new-to-me MT scent, I really want the soap in their jar.

If you don't mind purchasing from overseas, Gifts and Care has a good selection and the MT website has most things in stock.  But I was really disappointed that Black Beer No 1 (a very bold and strong hoppy/citrus scent) was no longer listed on their website.

If either of you would like to try out the soap, shoot me a PM

Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Sunrise on LaSalle
Milksteak Base

Sunrise on LaSalle is a collaborative effort by Declaration Grooming and Chatillon Lux.

Shawn Maher's scent is formulated to evoke the scent of the flower market in St. Louis:

"This scent is designed to reflect the early morning hours of freshly cut flowers, with their dew-laden sweetness and vibrant freshness.
Notes: Pear, geranium, jasmine tea, and Virginia cedar."  The floral scent is strong particularly when the soap is followed by the matching aftershave.  In my opinion, Maher has succeeded in his goal as I definitely sense freshly cut flower bouquets.

The Milksteak base is wonderful delivery vehicle for a great shave.

Martin de Candre shaving soap. Its lather was rich and thick today, but for some reason it wasn't really slick and seemed to dry out between passes, despite my use of the usual amount of water.
