Vetiver & Oakmoss t. (Mystic Water) grassy moss
Shave 5 ・ 81% left
Pairing this much vetiver with this much oakmoss is like asking Barry White to sing a duet with Luther Vandross. What you get is something deep, rich, and velvety that altogether suits the plush lather this soap produces. The scent soaks right into your skin and stays there all day long like a song that’s stuck in your head. But don’t look for any melody. There aren’t any top notes or heart notes. This is all base notes, baby. The only reasonable way to finish this shave was with two big blasts of Encre Noir.

It's kinda funny, it wasn't till I already started lathering that I remembered that I used B&M Spice just yesterday. Must be Old Spice weather right now.
The added menthol in this PAA Cold Spices was a beautiful touch, too.
New Rule: From now on and regardless of soap I'm loading up, I'm going to start with more water in the brush than I always have historically. Just one weak shake and wait a couple seconds for dribbling, and leave the rest of the water in the brush (always synthetic, btw). In doing so, I'll use extra soap, which is a good thing bc I have enough soap for several lifetimes and would like to finish a couple before I'm finished. As well, I'm looking forward to even better shaves. Today's was marvelous using this method.
