This Bay Rum has made my bay rum hall of fame along with Barrister & Mann, Sir Henry's, Mystic Water, Grooming Dept, Stirling, Long Rifle, and Mike's. Very nice well balanced bay, not heavy on the clove. I have the PAA CK6 Bays to investigate to round out my rotation. Thinking I need Sunday to be my Bay Rum weekly shave. Boys, the Bay is an all year flavor!

TommyCarioca, if I had read this post a few years ago I would have thought you were bonkers. Back then I thought bay rum was a joke. I only used it once a year – on Halloween. I bought Barrister & Mann's Bay Rum three times, and twice I gave it away. Then a couple summers ago, I too saw the light. Now it's bay rum nearly every day. If I stray away too long, I sink into a funk. I have to pull out a puck and take a snort to even out my keel. I had a great shave today with Chypre Rose Concerto, but I can't hardly wait til tomorrow when I'll dip my brush back into a tub of bay rumity goodness. (And that is a fantastic looking razor!)
Bouki, your post on the 'concerto Kaw' is spot on. WK lathers are primo - well described by you. I chuckled upon reading the fragrance not up to par with the soap. So accurate. The only rose i know of that is worthy is Malle POAL. The feather razors are a recent usage/discovery for me thanks to Dan Law. For some reason, as mild as they are supposed to be, gives me a 2 pass bbs with feather blades. And i have a nasty set dense wiry set of whiskers. The old adage is true - YMMV. Never would have thunk it. Going to send you a Lil slice of this M&M Bay. Worthy butter. Mango too-have not forgotten

Impressive Scraper! Thanks fire the heads up on the 15th release. I read that ole Mo is fighting kidney stones and may be running late with the release.

Murphy & McNeil Sandalwood - Bull & Bell Tallow

Another super rich dense low - profile lather; scent strength off the puck moderate, scent strength while lathering pretty fleeting. A clean soapy sandalwood vibe: could see where one could use this as a daily driver [are there really wet shavers that do that?]

Ordered the Vetiver , Patchouli, and Orange variations. Bill also reached out on my really 'loose' pux. Great customer service. I dig the base! If'n any of you boys want to try a slice, DM me and I will send you some. Can't be all bad, Bill lives in Flower Mound. [Image: 552fe324e799666fbb7e270bd78e00e5.jpg]
