I ended up ordering 4 Eufros soaps last week and they arrive yesterday.  I'm planning to use them in order of my scent-preference.  This morning is Dama de Noche...an absolutely wonderful floral (jasmine?) scent.  I ended up pairing it with B&M Tuesday, a violet-centric scent.  Does anyone have a suggestion for a Jasmine-scented splash/balm?

B&M Sinfonia is quite lovely. Jasmine and apricot, very nicely done.

Maleki is getting low enough that I scraped the soap up and smashed it in the center of the tub for easier loading. We're on the homestretch now. I'll be working day shift both days this weekend, so my every other day approach will get changed up in favor of a soap or cream that loads up, and dials in quickly. I'll get back to it Monday. After 31 days straight with the Blackland Dart, I decided to pull out the Karve for Bouki , since he just got one after some discussion on here.

Ethos Grooming Vanilla Safi shaving soap, first use. A scoop around half the size of a shelled almond easily made lots of rich, thick, slick lather that worked perfectly. My only complaint is that the vanilla scent did not seem very strong, but I suspect that is just the weakening perception of my 73-year-old nose.

Thank you John for the kind words and I’m glad you like the performance.

The Vanilla infusion and the Vanilla Absolute are both mild if someone was comparing it to a  synthetic Vanilla fragrance oil or a Vanilla Isolate which is also synthetic an especially if compared to a cologne type scent. Its a 100% natural blend of only those two and even at the lower temps that it was added to the soap it’s still going to loose a little strength. It’s definitely a little stronger in the Remede Serum if you have them side by side but it’s never going to be an in your face aroma because when smelling either the Vanilla Bean Infusion or the Vanilla Absolute right out of the bottles they are not strong but very smooth and very natural smelling. Try using that Mysore Santal Skin Food Splash or the Dragonsbeard Skin Food Splash after using the soap. They are made for each other.

But yeah some of it may be your old nose lol

Just kidding my friend!

Thank you for the continuous support!

Yesterday I used the Marco Method to load my boar brush. This juicy approach gobbled up three grams of soap, but it made a mess of the sink, and frankly boar just can’t compete with my synthetic Peregrino when it comes to making a slick, wholesome lather.
You take back what you said about porcine puffs!
Lip, I love you, brother, but the pig man just isn't smiling on me these days. Instead of wallowing in the soap and whipping up a hearty lather, he seems to be preoccupied with rooting around for poo berries. But just to be fair, I'll give this Semogue boar brush one more shot this afternoon. If the swinish sweeper doesn't knock it out of the park then, it's back on the bench with him for another six months.

FaceScraper, I am really enjoying this Karve Christopher Bradley! Thanks to all of you who gave it your thumbs up. I'm getting great two-pass shaves without irritation. The open-comb B plate and the solid-bar C plate are delightsome. In fact, I'm liking the razor so much, I just ordered another one in brass, and I'm casting longing looks at the stainless steel model. It never hurts to stock up when you finally find something that works this well for you.

Mike’s Bay Rum t. (Mike’s Natural Soaps) bay & bergamot
Day 11 ・ 80% left

Dry weather has moved in and the lawn is shriveling up. But that’s not all that’s shrinking. Overnight this puck of Mike’s Bay Rum lost six grams. Didn’t realize how much ambient humidity figures into the weight of an open-faced soap. To plump it up again, I gave it the Marco Method with a boar brush, and I didn’t hold back. I gave it a downright malicious loading. What I did has probably been banned by the Geneva convention. True, it made a sloppy mess with suds and bubbles all over the place; but once it got on my face and I gave it some determined agitation, the mess turned into a slippery yoghurt-like lather that led to one of the finest shaves I’ve had in recent memory. Looks like this grunter brush will stay in the game after all.
