Find that often the case even on the highest end of the ocean scents in elite frag lines.  Suspect our noses not as finely educated as the cognoscenti that easily discern the delta.

Stirling Soap Co Sheep is my unscented choice this month.  I have a few unscented offerings like Talbot and Declaration that I'm looking forward to trying in the coming months but Stirling still does the job admirably.  I've been keeping the tub upstairs in a warmer part of the house since I'm using it regularly and I noticed a little green tinge on the soap.  I thought maybe it was some type of mold so I gave it a poke and no it was just the forming of a donut the end in sight a rarity for me when it comes to Stirling.

GFT Sandalwood cream

I enjoy this spicy sweet scent. (Finished with B&M Reserve Spice aftershave, fwiw.)
The performance felt totally fine, no issues during the shave. Very slick and felt protective.
But upon rising, I had a couple weepers.
... Also during my final rinse, I felt that my skin was a little waxy feeling (prior to using the B&M).

I got PAA Copalli shave soap (ck6) earlier this week and used it in my last 3 shaves. Really like the scent of both the soap and aftershave. Lathers up nicely with plenty of water and has nice protection. It's been really fun to use so far.

Sandalwood t. (Cold River Soap Works) woody sandal

Blessed with a staggering variety of soaps and boatloads of razors, blades, and brushes, my greatest challenge these days is figuring out how to use it all. So far this year I’ve lathered 107 separate soaps made by 44 different artisans. The truly remarkable thing, though, is there hasn’t hardly been a bad shave in the whole lot. Over the years I’ve managed to weed out all the soaps that didn’t work for me. Truth be told, these were very few. Most soap cookers put out a very good product. But there are a few soaps in my stable that seem to lag behind; for whatever reason, I haven’t touched them in 2021. So for the next week or two I’ll be touring these “lost and left behind,” and I’ll be deciding if they’re worth keeping in rotation. I’ll throw in a few new-and-never-used creams here and there, too, just to keep it interesting.

First up is Cold River Soap Work’s Sandalwood. Offering a gorgeous lather richly scented with Australian sandal and finishing like a dream, this soap should be among my favorites. But the sorry fact is I haven’t opened it for over a year. Why not? Well, we burn a lot of incense around here, so I get my sandal fix that way. Dumb me. I’ve been missing out on a really nice sandalwood soap. It’s not strong, it’s not spicy, and it’s not sweet, but Cold River does wood well, and their mix of sandal and aromatic woods comes across pure and delightsome. This one will definitely stay in rotation.

Excellent choice. It is the definitely the season for Copalli.

Seriously!!!
... Just using things once in a blue moon is a challenge... which is much different from the ultimate goal: using things up (finishing them)!
