I am in a stretch where I've been shaving every other day, but today I just needed some menthol on the face.
Yeah today was really just about the utility of the products more than the desire to shave...

We started with PAA Rabid Banana pre-shave cube (yes, you go get that before I do) just because I wanted some (awesome) scent.

Then had to use Fine Snake Bite shaving soap for the menthol. Used cold water on the brush for the second pass. Whoa!

Then threw on some Osage Rub for aftershave... as I've mentioned, that is HIGH in menthol, plus other goodies like eucalyptus. Two splashes of that, per usual.

Got out of the shower and threw on some Fine Snake Bite aftershave just to be funny. Then used John Frum aftershave cologne on my non-face skin... for a summer evening musk.

This was before I shaved today, but look at those menthol fangs:

I have used this puck several times now and the crystals regenerate after every use. Never seen anything like it.

Must be the altitude. Everything is better up there.

[Image: RtIyUoJ.jpg]Today I gave a try to my new arrival (and new release), Marrakech by PantaRei.  Off the puck you get a classically structured lush, deep rose and heavy oud.  When lathering, the rose stays about the same intensity, but the oud recedes a bit to allow the rose to shine through more, as supporting jasmine reveals itself.  Well done on the scent.

The soap base I believe is also new for PantaRei, and I found it to produce a nice creamy lather, but maybe lacking just the last nth of slickness found in my personal favorites.  All-in-all a fine release that I will look forward to using again.

Eufros Kasbah shaving soap, first use. It made great lather, with a dark scent that had exotic clear tones of myrrh, musk, and cinnamon.

And....again.  This one will be gone long before the month is over.  Still smelling and shaving great.  Quick 5am shave because I’m camping with my bride this weekend.  Lots of grands coming up right now for the night too.  Life is grand!  [Image: tpv8UzJ.jpg]
