I wish... It was a hot one, as you've mentioned recently. And for some reason gets hotter inside the house at night than day. I'd open more windows but I'm a little bear wary.

PAA Son of Honeysuckle (CK-6)

First shave with this. If you were worried about smelling too sweet, don't be. It's very well rounded and not super strong. Relaxing, not busy. Can't wait to smell the brush again later.

Went on a bike ride with my pal this morning and a hike after.

I was overdue on my chicken, so it was mandatory to make amends.

Koolada is the trade name for a type of synthetic menthol (45% WS-23). It’s not as ‘cool’ as real menthol, but it does have one great advantage: it’s nearly odorless. You can add a few drops to your lather, and it won’t clobber the fragrance. Four drops brings on a pleasant chill. Unfortunately, it takes about eight minutes to notice the cooling effect. That means my first pass today was lukewarm, a problem if you’re giving yourself only one pass per shave. Solution? Just slather the remaining lather all over your face and walk around the house for a while. The family will get a chuckle, and you’ll get a chill, and your lather will smell just like your favorite soap cooker intended it to smell.

Tallow & Steel Cairo first use
From their website: "Real Egyptian jasmine and neroli concoct a fresh floral aroma, revitalizing antiquity as the zest of bitter orange illuminates the blare of the bustling streets of the age-old city. The deep zing of the Egyptian citrus is sedated by the softness of warm benzoin to accomplish a striking blend between serenity and intensity: a re-embodiment of the city and its mythical history.

"Cairo is warmed by hints of resinous notes from frankincense and myrrh, entrancing you back to the roots of the pharaohs who ruled many years ago, subdued to perfection by the herbaceous touch of Egyptian geranium, and then merging the past with the modern green freshness of violet leaf."

Out of all that I am getting a lot of bitter orange and green herbal--a wall of it. For me, T&S is like a finer alcohol--you have to put on your big boy pants and pay attention as best you can to the nuances. A first use does not give enough access.
