Turtleship Bay Rum

I have been in the Bay mood last couple of days. This is a nice one:. Very subtle /subdued - scent strength 4/10... .but that is nice sometimes. Love this Royall Bay Rum cologne used as an aftershave [per its weakness]. Nice tallow fatty lather - whisker batter.

My dog caught the scent of bay in the air.
Tomorrow I am going to try and evolve my lathering skills with Ethos Colonia [thanks Bouki]. Old dogs need to learn new skills. [Image: 3d1264171578b1047c8a654b279981d7.jpg][Image: ae9bbfc3434547c59044bed7441a5992.jpg]

Looks like an awesome pup!  Lots of energy?

My dog actually loves that I shave (mostly) daily.  The splash scents always get his ears perked up a bit...and, for some odd reason, he loves to lick a few of the scents.  Yesterday was Catalan's Prairie and i was afraid he might bite my hand off!

Dogs truly are man's best friend. My boy is 11. He has arthritis but still manages a couple of squirrel and rabbit chases each day. Beck loves Bay Rum.

Got in a great shave with the Ethos Colonia. A top, top notch performer in every sense of the word. Lather, slickness & glide with a post shave clean feel that is 2nd to none. The soap and a/s paired with the eau de parfum is a trio of excellence that few soap makers have managed to achieve. Big props as well to the DFS Powers that be in getting together with Ethos Grooming in creating the soap/splash collaboration. Let me be clear and to the point, these are an elite level created products that bring to the table not only the properties that I mentioned above but, also skin conditioning characteristics in the post shave realm that and in my humble opinion an extremely limited number of artisans have produced or can claim. I can count them on one hand and still have a few fingers left over. It’s not just the performance that these products bring to one’s shave regime including post shave attributes, it’s the known fact that the ingredients that are used in these products are of natural origin and have been well proven in the health & beauty industry for decades. Look into Lancôme, L’Oréal, Revlon and the likes that use nearly identical ingredients in their skin care products. And they’ve been doing it successfully for years. I think it’s an evolution of sorts that we, as a shaving community can actually start to reap the benefits of natural products created for the beauty industry and more importantly, by an artisan who has the experience (32 years worth), creativity and the knowledge to bring it to bear and has with dogged determination for us, the wet shavers to finally benefit from. Having said all that, I know there is not one product that will satisfy everyone all in the same and that is fine. We’re a diverse group with each individual expecting or requiring something different from the products that are available. And those demands are being met with perhaps some of the best shave products created to date from a handful of artisans that take their work & business very seriously, including Ethos Grooming and the creator of the line Dragonsbeard whom I affectionately call Frankie. Yes, he’s my friend and a damn good one too. I’m a fanboy of his shave products and I say it clearly with no doubts in believing that Ethos Grooming products are arguably the best wet shave products in the business.

There’s no shame in my game.....
