AQU, I do believe you are right.  First, the "cedar" scent I was picking up is very likely the lavender mixed with another scent.  Second, this is an awesome scent for a cool spring morning!

I need some notes! My lather of the same soap this morning was good but that is stunning work!

Thanks guys!  Best tip/note I can give is don't rush it. 

That particular lather was whipped up by letting it bloom while I shower, 10-12 second load with a 26mm synthetic, face-paint for a couple minutes then dip about 1/3 of the knot in water and go back to face-painting, repeat that last step 3 or 4 times before agitating/swirling the knot, go back for another dip in the water and agitate some more.  Total time on the face-lathering was around 12-13 minutes. 

I wholeheartedly understand many are not willing to spend that amount of time creating a lather.  But creating a lather is one of my favorite aspects of wet-shaving.  Plus, it allows me a good amount of time to indulge the scents.  I don't have ability to pick up notes like others on this thread.  But I do have the desire to relax and enjoy those scents!

If you like sweeter, fresher, fruitier type scents this one is for you. It seems to be pretty pear forward to me, but once you lather it, you can kinda find the wood in the scent. Its very unique. I hope that helps you make your decision. A word of caution though, it is really sweet. Maybe one of the most I've encountered in the hobby. Perfect for summer.
