Citrus and patchouli are battling it out to see who is going to dominate this fragrance. They're both throwing some pretty good punches. You won't lack for olfactory entertainment while you whip up your lather. But rose just sort of stands in the middle, doing her best to keep things civil. So it’s probably not fair to call this a rose soap, since there is so much else going on. Still, I think it’s fun on those bright spring days when I'm in a fruitchouli mood. On a dull day, it smells a little moldy. The soap itself is dense and sticky. It’s hard to load with a brush. A spatula does a much better job of scooping some soap from the tub. Smear it on your face or wipe it on your brush. Either way works fine.

Fruitchouli mood!  Hahaha.  I don’t know but you sound like a cross between Shel Silverstein and John Donne

Boys, this is a great all year/season shave option. This is really a crowd pleasing fragrance. Not sure why any person would not find this one appealing. Great non-tallow puck.

Thx FS! Their metal tins and containers beg for that format.

Bay Rum t. (WSP) stout bay rum

This starts out with a wallop of West Indies bay, followed by some dark orange notes, and then some lime. The amount of bay oil is impressive. There’s also spice in the mix, but not enough to overwhelm the bay. No vanilla, no ginger, no black tea. This is a simple, boozy bay rum that would have made Henry Morgan happy. WSP say they’ve based the scent on a recipe that was two-hundred years old. Hmmm. I don’t know much about old recipes, but to me the scent is definitely old school. It’s bold, rich, and worthy of a buccaneer.

CRSW Oliva Fougere Citrus

The scent has similarities to Armani Eau Pour Homme. (A classic Italian cologne with citrus, nutmeg, oakmoss, florals, wood and fresh basil. Aka, I really love it. The current formula frag has no staying power, unfortunately.)

I used it like a cream, as this Oliva tub I bought a year ago is softer than the early versions.

Fearless shave and excellent post feel.
