What soap/cream did you use today?

Stirling's Gin & Tonic witch hazel has quickly become one of my favorite WH scents.  It's more versatile in terms of being paired up with various soaps and splashes.  The G&T soap may find its way into the cart next time i visit the Stirling website...along with some of those coffees!

As I shaved this morning I was cognizant of just how unique is this scent..  most times it seems Vetiver approaches me like a beautiful woman on a date.  Hair perfectly coiffed.  Makeup done with care.  Clothing chosen to match the season and the event.  Socks that match the purse.  And manners and appetite carefully guarded!  No offense.  No missteps.  No reality!  Salters Vetiver is like a mature, confident woman celebrating three decades of wedded bliss.  Gone are any effort at pretense.  Gone is the vanity of youth.  Here is a woman who is secure in her place and confident in her performance. Her beauty is not what fashion tries to portray but is in fact woven throughout her very being.  She knows she is worthy of love and respect.  She will fart in bed and giggle instead of apologizing.

Le Grand Chypre t. (Barrister & Mann) lime chypre

Le Grand Chypre is a complex and lovely scent. In fact, parts of it are so delicate and nuanced, I sometimes wonder if it has a place in the world of shaving soap. No question, it smells wonderful: lots of lime, labdanum, moss, and other good things. But it all sort of gets lost in the lather. I’m thinking I’ll replace this tub with a bottle of Le Grand Chypre eau de toilette so I can really enjoy the fragrance as it unravels.

No bloom today and loaded for about 12 seconds.  Ended up getting a another fantastic lather but, again, this soap can handle a ton of water.  Used a badger which is not typical for me and, personally, I find the lathers different when using a natural-hair brush.  Truly enjoying the MacDuff's soap base...

This puck and aftershave arrived today. The scent is unlike anything else! Can’t wait to use it tomorrow.

AOS Rose Absolute cream

Sorry, Lip... This one don't fart under the sheets! Haha!
Just teasing, that was a great post above, of course.

Anyway, I truly adore this one. Just straight rose petals and nectar. No green, this one is juicy red like a ripe raspberry. One of my most revered gems I have owned. Shaves incredibly too.

Green and unique in the scent. As I am partial to citrus /green /bright shaves - a good night it was. Paired well with Dyptique Do Son. I usually load about 100 trips around the puck - not needed with this soap! Seriously 5-10 rotations and I have enough for 4 passes. This jar will be around longer than me fo' sho'.
