Warm Woods v. (Meißner Tremonia) sweet woods

This was my first outing with the Gem Flying Wing razor, so I picked a lather I knew would look after me in case I botched things up. These Meißner Tremonia soaps start off light and airy, but their thirst knows no bounds. I drench them good and the result is a wet, protective lather. Today’s shave went pretty well, though it’s clear I’ve got a lot to learn when it comes to shaving with a single-edge razor. Next time I’ll wear ear plugs. Why? The Flying Wing is loud. Even when I had only a smidgen of hair left, it sounded like my face was covered with barbwire. The temptation to overshave was strong.
