Hardly anything as enchanting as tuning skis, the sounds of filing and deburring, the different smells of pre wax and finish waxes for changing conditions. It a religious experience.

Haha, agreed. The wax smell is a certain breed of incense.

Before moving to L A my wife and I spent 4 years in Massachusetts.  I skied at least 3 dozen times a year in Vermont, New Hampshire and Main.  I maintained my own skies, all three pair and the smell of hot wax was incredible.  Especially when I went to small ski shops walked in and smelled the wax.

No damn wax rollers, real deal waxes for specific conditions using multiple coats and ironed in. Good God just got wood

Glastonbury by Stirling.  This scent is a favorite of mine, with its super-heavy use of oakmoss and patchouli a la the great powerhouse perfumes of the 70s and 80 (vintage Giorgio for Men, for example).  Great stuff!

Awhile back, Esbjerg products were all the rage but it has been some time since I’ve seen one show up in the BST or on a SOTD photo.  That’s really too bad because the stuff really is nice.  Orange Vetiver is the one I care for and mine only has maybe 5 more shaves on it.  Surprisingly the scent has remained clear to the end and  Oh my the scent is glorious.  Comes in with a sweet orange note but with a little water and elbow grease the vetiver arrives riding an old Indian motorcycle with a pack of Lucky Strikes rolled up in a tee shirt sleeve. The scent lingers long after the final rinse.

Lipripper660, are you going to replace this cream when it's done?
