SMN Tobacco Toscano cream

Smelling like a dandy. Used the SMN soap and SMN Tobacco Tuscano cologne with this very special cream. Mine has formed up a bit. I think it is about 7 years old.

Dan - winner on slickness is the SMN v the I Colonai soap

Happy Easter boys

Two days without a shave so this Easter morning offered a glorious clean-up.  The Futur is always a good choice with two-days beard.  I’m liking this Cold River soap better all the time.  Surprisingly, I find it water sensitive in that the window seems narrow to get max slickness.  That’s just fine though because it’s not hard hitting the window.  Smells great.  Feels great.  Does a bang-up job.  And why no shave yesterday?  Because I have my old 1950’s camper parked up in Clayton on the Salmon River and Steelhead are running!  I was fishing on a rare bluebird day.  It got to 58 degrees in Stanley!  The fish is 31.5 inches and weight calculates to 14.71 lbs.  he never left the water and is out there swimming around this morning.

PI is a hard puck, and in the past I’ve had some irritation after using it. That’s probably down to poor loading on my part. The fact is, my water is so soft, it will turn just a speck of soap into a seemingly satisfactory lather. The next day, though, I feel it. Today I remedied all this by scraping the puck with a spatula until I had a two-ounce glob of soap. I dumped that into a lather bowl and kept loading until all of it was in the brush. Did it turn out thick and dense? No, not really. But there was a lot of it. So I laid it on by the spadeful and came away with a fine, albeit messy, shave.

I'm guessing you meant two grams, rather than ounces? Two ounces would be half the tub. You'd need HUGE brush to hold that much lather!  Big Grin
You're right, FaceScraper! Thanks for catching that.
