Cutting edge - Evergreen and cedar used today. Much lighter scent than his citrus wood blend. Almost unscented to my schnoz. Don’t really get a whole lot of wood from this one, more of a soap scent with possible a little bit of wood. But I like it.
The performance is top notch for me. I face lather most of the time with badger knots. Sometimes with soaps by the time I get to the third pass the soap has become very airy and thin. Not with cutting edge tho. First pic below is from first pass and next pic is from 3rd pass. The soap maintains its volume and density throughout each pass. It’s not exploding volume like some soaps but it’s also not too thin. A perfect consistency. And very slick. Definitely has broken into my top 3 with this brand.

Stone Cottage Balsam Fir cream
with PAA pre-shave Cube 2.0 in Xmas Fir Tree scent
My favorite scent in nature is the fir tree. Yes, it is evergreen, but for me what separates it from the pack is it has a lime/grapefruit spritz in the scent components. So lively, exciting, juicy, woodsy, fresh, and ferny.
Great shave, great scent.
Finished with Barrister's Reserve Fern splash (not shown).
