A good long load (60 sec) with a 30mm synthetic really put a dent in Lit yesterday.  The tub weighed 68.72 grams before loading.  After letting the soap dry overnight, it weighed in at 62.87 this morning...nearly 6 grams of soap!  Did I need that much?  Absolutely not.  But as I try to finish this tub, I'm going to try different load methods as I'm planning to keep track of several variables so I will be able to better plan how to finish more soaps in the future Smile

Stirling Aligheri [Fahrenheit]

I am about through my second bottle of Fahrenheit EDP. I have 3 more bottles ready to go. May not be enough .

This puck emulates Fahrenheit well - especially the petroleum note. Quite pleased - and the Stirling lather shines as usual. Have my new baby boar [Olivewood +ivory c Omega 10049 set at 62mm, Vlad Ferdman artist].

There is always sumpfin' though. Wife hates Fahrenheit. So I guess I should admit I am through 2 bottles of wife repellent.

C U all tomorrow

I've become a slave to my scale. We're spending a lot of time together. But after seeing yours, I'm developing a case of scale envy. Is it really accurate down to a hundredth of a gram? And six ounces of soap for a single shave. That's impressive!

Original v. (Martin de Candre) lavender rosemary

Boar, badger, or synthetic, this soap doesn’t care what you bring to the party. It lathers without any fuss or finesse. Load a little, load a lot, either way you end up with a face full of some of France’s finest shaving cream. One odd thing about it, though: some days Martin de Candre leaves me tight and dry, while other days I feel like I’ve been to the spa and had the whole avocado and cucumber treatment on the visage. I’ve given up on balms, splashes, and aftershaves entirely, so I’ll just weather the dry days in the hope that my next shave will leave me plumper.

ExtraProtein, I wouldn't mind getting a snout full of this! Who is Joserra, and are samples available?
