What soap/cream did you use today?

A good long load (60 sec) with a 30mm synthetic really put a dent in Lit yesterday.  The tub weighed 68.72 grams before loading.  After letting the soap dry overnight, it weighed in at 62.87 this morning...nearly 6 grams of soap!  Did I need that much?  Absolutely not.  But as I try to finish this tub, I'm going to try different load methods as I'm planning to keep track of several variables so I will be able to better plan how to finish more soaps in the future

I've become a slave to my scale. We're spending a lot of time together. But after seeing yours, I'm developing a case of scale envy. Is it really accurate down to a hundredth of a gram? And six ounces of soap for a single shave. That's impressive!

I have no idea if it's accurate but I will say it is consistent.  Tubs are being weighed at least twice before recording the amount into the spreadsheet.  A few measurements have been "off" but by no more than 0.05 grams.  I was attributing this to moisture loss (the soaps are being bloomed in an effort to use more soap) but you bring up an excellent point in terms of accuracy.  It very well could be the scale isn't accurate.  And for a $20 scale off Amazon, that wouldn't surprise me

Yesterday's load ended up taking about 3.5 grams of soap.  I bloomed the soap and loaded for ~30 sec with a 28mm synthetic.  

This morning's shave was with a 28mm synthetic as well. The soap wasn't bloomed and I went after it for about 30 sec with the knot dripping wet.  The lather turned out very "foamy" and I really had to agitate it before ending up with a "shaveable" lather.  It will be interesting to see how much soap was used with this method.
