Original v. (Martin de Candre) lavender rosemary

I’ve kept the lip stiff for another day and stuck to this one pot of soap. The task that I’ve set before myself is one that involves no small measure of hardship and discomfort, for it means enduring the dull monotony of only one soap for well nigh a fortnight. But I shall not shrink from it. My stern resolve has already been rewarded. Original is melting away like soft butter on a summer’s day, and I shall have plumbed the depths of this tub before spring is fully sprung.

Even traveling I fail to have Bouki’s resolve.  I switched my travel routine up and used Coates Tea Tree shaving cream I found in my kit this morning.Melaleuca Alternifolia  is not a scent one would wish to have as a perfume but I sure do enjoy it’s medicinal, camphoric scent.  The tree oil comes from Australia and to my eyes resembles a bush resultant from a tryst between a yew and a mesquite.  Lovely is in the eye of the beholder I suppose and this scrubby bush’s oil is pleasing to me.  I find this one to be me of all the Coates flavors.  I checked this morning and it looks like the Coates Cream website is still up so he must not be out of this vintage shaving cream yet.  Perhaps I’ll have to check my cache and see if I ought to order more.  I’ve found it a great tool when starting a new shaver off.  Easy slick lather with approachable scents and a cheap price tag.
