Day 2 on the road
Mystic Water Bay Rum

Don't detect cloves in this BR. Bright and clean: my newly crowned summer bay. Lathered up fine using the Oklahoma tap - dialed her in with a synthetic as I do with MW pucks, as this always seems to work better for some reason. Post is wonderful as expected, and as needed here. The wind is always blowing, and it is cool today at the ball park.

Have a good Sunday, and CU all tomorrow [Image: 8eb99791ebf2dc64d103decec2e7a19a.jpg]

Used a sample of ADP Barbiere shampoo bc it's a nice day and when I got out of the shower I was still in the mood for some more citrus and floral.

Clay Face
Honolulu, Hawaii
Havn v. (Fitjar Islands) flowery cedar

Havn is the Norwegian word for ‘harbor’. I’ve spent a lot of time around waterfronts all around the world. None has smelled as good as this soap. Those Norwegian have it lucky if their harbors smell anything as sweet as this. I’m getting lots of orange and some florals, a combination that Fitjar Islands calls heather. In the background there’s that nice aroma of fresh-cut cedar. I’ve smelled this same accord in another soap that’s supposed to evoke the south of France. Whatever the landscape, it smells good, clean, and peaceful.

I tried to focus on Fitjar Islands soaps this month. They're really very good and I enjoy each of them very much. Scents tend to be on the mild side, but what's there is good smelling and so nicely balanced you feel you could use any of them for days on end. Though the vegan lather is lighter than tallow, it gives a good slick shave and washes away clean. And the presentation is professional and tasteful. These are some of the best looking pots of soap on my shelf.
