Rose, chocolate, sandalwood, musk, moss.Lipripper660, I know what you mean. I've tried several of Lisa's soaps over the years. Without a doubt, the lather is sensational. It's extra creamy, very slick, and oh so comfortable. But I've never found a scent I could stick with. To me most smell too edible, sort of like cookie doughs. Others smell like my wife's make-up. What I'm not getting is the man vibe. Maybe I need to try Somali Rose again. Last time I used it was in the middle of a hot summer. The fragrance of the soap just about suffocated me. Now that it's 'chilly', the scent may have calmed down a bit.

I'm afraid I've binned them all. Their scents were just too lopsided and too strong, to the point that a couple of them burned me. If I were shaving in a cold, dry climate, though, I'd probably appreciate them more.(02-27-2021, 09:18 PM)Bouki Wrote:Wow, I'm surprised by that Bouki. I've had a similar experience with Stirling's soaps: great performance, but for some reason, the scents just don't work that well down here.
Bay Rum t. (Barrister & Mann) spicy bay rum
Nearly two years old, the scent has darkened and become more robust. This tub of Bay Rum used to have a heavy orange note, but that’s burned off now. What’s left behind is a deeper, richer bay along with a sort of piney note. It’s really nice all year round, but like TommyCarioca mentioned, Barrister & Mann's Bay Rum is especially nice in the cooler months.
____________
Barrister & Mann: Bay Rum (81% left) ・ Razorock Baby Smooth ・ Astra Superior Platinum ・ Phoenix Shaving Peregrino ・ Soap Hoard: 11,143 g ・ Used this year: 90 g
