What soap/cream did you use today?

No. 89 v. (Floris) citrus fougère

Impressive presentation, a classic fragrance (orange fougère with a nice pinch of nutmeg and moss), and a lather that’s easy to build. What more could I want? Maybe just a touch more protection. No. 89 is certainly slick, but I still haven’t managed to conjure up that deep cushion that helps hide my sloppy technique. I'll save this one for my mildest razors.

I kinda know what you're saying (and others), but I always end up with BBS after 2 passes (instead of my normal 3).  You might want to give her a shot with one fewer pass than normal and see if it works for you too that way. She is a very close shaver, indeed.

I absolutely love the scent of this soap!  But I'm still trying to figure out the best way to lather it.  I may need to try bowl lathering or smearing the croap on my face rather than trying to load with a lightly damp brush.  

BTW, this pairs up perfectly with RazorRock Puros, one my favorite splashed

Down to less than an oz. left on this Marlborough soap.  No worries, I have one in the wings.  Great shave this morning.
