What soap/cream did you use today?

Tundra Artica v. (Saponificio Varesino) oud sandalwood

There’s a wee bit of rose in Tundra Artica, not enough to make the soap smell flowery, but enough to take the edge off the oud and other woody parts. If you’re really looking for a full-on rosy oud, forget soap and just give yourself a dousing with Diptyque’s Oud Palao. That stuff will knock you out. It has a beautiful rose note and enough oud to keep you reeking all day long. Smells great in the cooler months. Smells like a tidal wave of oud when it gets warm. It's great fun around the house, but it probably should require a license to be worn in public.

Ah Rats!  Every time I use this Reef Point Aviator soap I’m saddened that it is no more.  Reef Point, like Tim’s, Strop Shoppe, Queen Charolette, Local Gent, and other pioneer artisans are gone.  Not because their soap was crappy as evidenced by today’s shave but either the work load, marketing, or capitalization took them out.  The scent on this one is a stout new leather scent and although I generally dislike leather-forward scents this one is fantabulous!
