Original v. (Martin de Candre) rosemary, lavender, mint

Martin de Candre can make a rich, thick lather. Usually that’s how I prefer it. Today’s shave, though, called for something light and slick. This morning I found a Henson Al13 razor beneath the tree, and I was quick to inaugurate it. An all aluminum razor, the Henson is very light and sports the absolute minimum blade exposure. There’s virtually no blade feel, so it easily gets swallowed up in a thick lather. What’s needed is a thin, slippery emulsion. Luckily, Original can supply that too. I’m looking forward to many more grand shaves with this combination.
