Declaration Grooming - Massacre of the Innocents (Milksteak base)

I like to go to new restaurants.  I like to try new things on the menu at restaurants I frequent.  A fella finds some amazing things if he ventures out of familiar patterns.  Once in awhile though you find something so transcendental that you know you won’t vary when you get back to the establishment.  The pork ribs at Leathas BBQ in Hattiesburg MS., the biscuits at Loveless Cafe in Nashville, the Posole at Morinitas in Idaho Falls. Not gonna vary no way!  Esbjerg Orange Vetiver is one of those experiences.  It’s almost gone and will be replaced.  Best performance? Nope.  But oh that scent!

Tabacco Verde v. (Tcheon Fung Sing) green floral

To be honest, I can’t remember what green tobacco in the fields smells like. For years I lived surrounded by it, but that was decades ago. Today when I took a sniff of Tabacco Verde, it brought back no memories. What I did smell, though, was some gentle florals and some greenness: altogether a clean and pleasant fragrance. The soap performs well, even though it’s clearly been sitting on the vendor’s shelf for a long time. It’s dried up, stiff, and hard. Still, it makes a fantastic lather, and the finish is rich with almond oil.

Razorock Lime

Scent description notes it as "scorched earth".  I basically get "earth" (petrichor).  I would have loved more smoke in the profile but despite the lack of smoke, this one will remain in the den for the foreseeable future since it's my only Dr Jon's soap...and the Dr Strangelove movie is just a classic
