Barrister and Mann built excellent soap and the glissant base is one of my favorite. Add to that the scent First Snow is fir and leather and I’m all in. You might guess that this soap would be for this time of year, and it is, but my favorite time to use it is in the heat of summer. It reminds me of the brisk air of “First Snow” days. It reminds me of walking up the drag trail from Ottley’s Ranch into Stump Flats just above Cross Creek to cut a Christmas Tree. So good I can almost hear the zip of the bow saw blade biting green, resinous wood.
