A great scent, unquestionably.
Yeah kinda medium-light. Still lingers on the skin afterward though... Wouldn't change anything about it.

How can this possibly sell for 11GBP? Even if mysore stolen, the transport expense, given the amount required due to wastage whilst processing the soap, would make the raw ingredient cost higher than the retail price

I don't know if they are using actual Mysore, or if it is a fragrance oil modeled to be such. In any event, it's by far my favorite sandalwood scent by any artisan I've smelled by a long shot. It's just as nice as AOS, albeit different.
Creamy yet woodsy and masculine.
(Whereas AOS is more on the cologne side of things)
It's closest to C&E Mysore Sandalwood actually, but creamier in scent.

Rose v. (Martin de Candre)

If you really want to take a chunk out of one of your soaps, the Marco Method is the way to do it. A dripping brush and a hundred swirls will carve quite a divot out of even the hardest pucks. This jar of Martin de Candre remained flat and level until I started coming at it with a wet brush. Now it looks sort of like an elephant has sat on it – still dense but with a rumpled concavity. My spreadsheet tells me that if I keep up with this sort of treatment, I’ll be lucky to get another ninety shaves out of this 200 g. jar (but what incredible shaves they will be).
