The scent seems most like grapefruit to me.
I bloomed it in the tin during my prep shower, then scraped a bit of it into my lather bowl, rather than loading the brush from the tin.
By golly, it worked rather well.

Neroli & Black Pepper t. (Asylum Shave Works) honied orange blossom

Three large plumerias in the front yard dump a bushel of blossoms and leaves all over the lawn every day. The branches are weak and it’s not uncommon to find some wood on the ground after a squall. Normally I rake things up in the morning, but once a week I mulch it all with a mower In the hope of turning our sandy soil into turf. The big payoff in doing this is the pungent smell of pulverized blooms, green leaves, and peppery branches that the mower throws off. It smells earthy and flowery and though not exactly like this soap, it’s close enough to make me want to reach for Neroli & Black Pepper after the yard work is done. Cheap, protective, and creatively scented, these Asylum soaps (made by WSP) have turned out to be some of the most satisfying I’ve lathered in the last six months.

It’s been too long since I broke out the l’Occitane Cade.  The scent on this one is so good for me.
